The origin of the fabric got lost over the centuries of Busatti history. But we captured the emotions and the tales of rural housewives in the Tuscan hills who required particularly long lasting heavy duty fabrics.

That is how the Melograno fabric was born. The popularity was such that since then sales spread far beyond our hills and valleys. Evidence can be found in some local paintings at the end of 1800’s on kitchen towels and aprons.
Our fabrics are thread dyed (meaning the thread is dyed and not the whole fabric bolt) and the yarn count (that is to say the dimension and the quality) are first choice. That is why they make the best after some washings, because they are born to last. Also for our embroideries, we have used the same care, the same attention and the same passion.

Dimensions: 60 x 70 cm
Materials: 60% linen 40% cotton
Drawing: Geometrical
Refinishing: Simple machine hem and embroidery
